Game Overview
Luminary Rise is a 2D atmospheric puzzle-platformer that tells a silent story of Lumi, a creature born of light, navigating a world consumed by darkness.
As players journey through eerie environments filled with shadows, they must master light-based mechanics to solve puzzles, overcome traps, and avoid fading into the void. From sacrificing your own light to reveal hidden paths, to manipulating beams with mirrors and prisms, every level introduces new mechanics that challenge reflexes, strategy, and imagination.
The journey isn’t just about reaching the end — it’s about reigniting a dying world.

The game’s core idea — “light as a mechanic and a metaphor” — was established, along with the art style, level progression, and Lumi's identity.

Completed
Basic movement, light trading mechanic, flicker zones, and gravity inversion systems have been prototyped and tested with early levels.
Alpha Development
In Progress - 65% Complete
Level design and environmental puzzles involving beam redirection, prism activation, and soul-release are in active production. UI-less experience and visual storytelling systems are also being refined.
Beta Testing

Once core levels are polished, a closed beta will be conducted to gather feedback on level pacing, performance, and emotional impact.
